First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) / Advanced Practice Physiotherapist (APP)
Location: North Cotswolds and surrounding areas
Hours: 40 hours, Permanent
Salary: Β£46,200 to Β£53,550 pro rata, depending on experience
Pure Physio has been a leading NHS partner since 2016, delivering high quality Physiotherapistsand wider clinical services fully integrated within Primary Care. We work collaboratively with Primary Care Networks, Neighbourhood Teams, GP Federations, GP Clusters and ICBs across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to provide community based, preventative healthcare that improves population health and reduces system pressure.
Our multidisciplinary teams, including Advanced Practice Physiotherapists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Health & Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribers, focus on early intervention, prevention and long term wellbeing. We support MSK care, long term conditions (including CVD, diabetes and persistent pain), social prescribing, women's health, neurology, rheumatology and geriatric care.
We are currently seekingan expert Musculoskeletal clinician working within Primary Care who independently assesses, diagnoses and manages complex MSK presentations,advanced clinical leadership, support multidisciplinary teams and help reduce unnecessary referrals into secondary care services.
What You WillDo
- Assess, diagnose and manage complex musculoskeletal conditions autonomously.
- Request and interpret investigations including imaging and blood tests where appropriate.
- Provide advanced clinical decision making and comprehensive treatment planning.
- Deliver Injection Therapy as part of evidence-based patient management pathways.
- Support Primary Care teams by managing patients who would otherwise require secondary care referral.
Play a Key Role In
- Managing complex MSK presentations that exceed FCP scope.
- Supporting patients with multi-morbidities including CVD, diabetes, frailty and mental health conditions.
- Providing advanced rehabilitation planning and self-management strategies.
- Reducing unnecessary referrals to secondary care and improving patient outcomes.
Why Do These Roles Matter?
Musculoskeletal conditions account for approximately 30% of GP appointments. OurPhysiotherapists provide expert assessment and management for complex patients, ensuring timely access to specialist care while supporting Primary Care Networks to reduce pressure on GPs and secondary care services.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have:
- HCPC Registration.
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification MSK experience.
- HEE Roadmap to Practice Stage 1 and Stage 2 signed off.
- Injection Therapy qualification and competency.
- Advanced MSK clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
- Experience managing complex musculoskeletal presentations independently.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Experience working autonomously within Primary Care, FCP or community settings.
