Location: North West Region Hours: 40 hours. Permanent Salary: Depending on experience
We are seeking a motivated and supportive Deputy Regional Lead to help drive high-quality physiotherapy services across our NHS and private clinics in the North West region.
Reporting to the Head of Region, you will provide strong clinical supervision to them and the current Deputy Regional Lead, area team leads and senior FCP’s, ensuring consistent development and progress through the Roadmap to Practice.
You will play a key part in promoting staff wellbeing and retention, creating an environment where teams feel valued and able to thrive.
Working alongside the Head of Region, current Deputy Regional Lead and operational teams, you will support effective demand and capacity planning, coordinate smooth staff inductions, and offer day-to-day clinical and operational guidance to empower team leads.
You will oversee FCP rota organisation, ensuring clear communication across staff and stakeholders.
Building strong relationships with NHS partners and local stakeholders will be central to the role, enabling alignment with local priorities, seamless integration of FCP services, and successful mobilisation of new pathways.
You will also help identify opportunities to enhance and grow our private clinic services.
This role is ideal for an engaged, collaborative clinician who is ready to take the next step in leadership and contribute meaningfully to high-quality, patient-centred service delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Ensuring High Levels of Clinical Supervision
- Provide support to clinical staff engaged in our NHS and private clinic services, encompassing remote and in-clinic roles.
- Offer comprehensive clinical supervision and line management to area team leads and senior FCPs pursuing the 'Roadmap to Practice.
- Champion staff wellbeing and promote high staff retention rates to foster a motivated and engaged team.
- Assisting with Regional Staff Organisation and Rota Planning
- Collaborate with the Head of Region and operational team on demand and capacity planning to optimise service delivery.
- Plan and execute staff inductions, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new team members.
- Provide robust clinical and operational support to team leads, enabling them to effectively manage their respective teams.
- Oversee the organisation of FCP rotas, ensuring efficient communication to staff and stakeholders.
- Maintaining and Developing Stakeholder Relationships
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen existing partnerships and explore growth opportunities.
- Stay in regular contact with key stakeholders to align services with local priorities, ensuring our offerings remain relevant and impactful.
- Collaborate with NHS partners to seamlessly integrate FCP services within local pathways, adhering to regional and national guidelines.
- Actively contribute to new service mobilisations and address any complaints or incidents with tact and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to expand our private clinic services and work towards their successful implementation.
- Qualification and Experience
Essential
- HCPC Registration.
- BSc Physiotherapy.
- Minimum of 7 Years MSK experience.
- Minimum of FCP experience.
- Roadmap Stage 1 and 2 signed off.
- Minimum Band 7 or equivalent experience.
- Leadership experience.
- Full UK drivers' licence with access to a vehicle.
