We are looking for a proactive and organised Finance Administrator to join our busy Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and a passion for customer service to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Acting as the first point of contact for incoming telephone calls received by the Finance and Credit Control department.
- Handling and distributing incoming post and emails efficiently.
- Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, including solicitors and insurance companies, via telephone, email and written correspondence.
- Assisting Credit Controllers by contacting customers to request payment updates and chase outstanding invoices.
- Supporting the Cashiers and Credit Control teams with payment reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets and filing systems.
- Performing a variety of administrative duties to support the wider Finance function.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Adhering to team rotas and completing tasks within agreed timescales.
- Assisting with additional ad hoc duties as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous administrative experience.
- Experience working within an office environment.
- Confident telephone manner and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage workloads and prioritise tasks effectively.
Desirable
- Previous experience within a Finance or Credit Control environment.
- Knowledge of Sage systems.
- Experience of payment reconciliations.
