What You’ll Be Doing

Lead & Inspire

  • Take charge of the home in the absence of senior management
  • Make strong, child‑centred decisions aligned with best practice
  • Model professionalism, empathy, and resilience every day
  • Support staff in assessments, planning, and key working
  • Ensure all records and plans are accurate and meaningful
  • Demonstrate exemplary direct work with young people

Safeguard & Advocate

  • Attend reviews and multi‑agency meetings as a key professional
  • Ensure every child’s voice is central to their care and planning

Strengthen the Team

  • Oversee daily admin and support colleagues in their responsibilities
  • Promote consistency, positive culture, and high practice standards
  • Encourage continuous improvement through effective communication

General Duties

  • Transport young people to school, activities, and appointments
  • Complete sleep‑ins in line with the rota
  • Carry out reasonable tasks requested by management to support smooth running of the home
