We are seeking an experienced
Lead Occupational Health Nurse - Case Management to join our growing Occupational Health service.
This senior position offers the opportunity to combine clinical expertise with operational leadership, ensuring the delivery of exceptional occupational health services across a diverse client portfolio.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will provide leadership and direction to our Occupational Health Case Management Team, supporting the delivery of evidence-based occupational health advice whilst maintaining the highest standards of clinical governance, service quality and customer care.

The Role
As Lead Occupational Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervision and professional support to Occupational Health Advisors and Case Managers.
You will act as the key clinical escalation point for complex cases and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality occupational health services.
You will also play a vital role in developing colleagues, supporting clinical governance initiatives and driving continuous improvement across the service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Occupational Health Case Management Team.
- Act as the lead clinical resource for complex occupational health cases.
- Manage a clinical caseload including sickness absence management, fitness for work assessments, workplace adjustments and vocational rehabilitation.
- Review and oversee complex management referrals, ensuring timely and evidence-based clinical advice.
- Lead the induction, onboarding and competency assessment of new Occupational Health clinicians.
- Support professional development, workforce planning and succession planning within the team.
- Facilitate clinical supervision, case reviews and peer review activities.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
- Support clinical governance, audit programmes and quality assurance activities.
- Monitor service performance against agreed standards and key performance indicators.
- Contribute to policy development, service improvement initiatives and best practice guidance.
- Support the organisation's commitment to SEQOHS accreditation and continuous quality improvement.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident and credible Occupational Health professional with strong leadership skills and extensive case management experience.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
- Occupational Health degree or diploma.
- Minimum of five years' Occupational Health experience post-registration.
- At least two years' experience in a Clinical Lead, Team Leader or Senior Occupational Health position.
• Experience across the full Occupational Health remit, including
- Case management
- Health surveillance
- Immunisations
- Pre-employment assessments
- Workplace health assessments
- Rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes
- Experience conducting safety-critical medicals, including spirometry and audiometry.

- Occupational Health legislation
- Clinical governance
- SEQOHS standards
- Audit and quality assurance processes
- Revalidation and competency frameworks
- Occupational Health business performance measures and KPIs
