Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Complex Care
Location: Little Kingshill, Buckinghamshire (HP16)
Pay Rate: £14.20 per hour (Monday–Friday)
Shifts: Day shifts (08:00–22:00) primarily, with some night shifts available
About the Role
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support a client with complex care needs in their own home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive, family-centred environment. The role requires confidence, resilience, and the ability to work collaboratively with the client’s family.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality personal care
- Supporting with eating and drinking
- Managing and responding to seizures (including emergency medication)
- Delivering oxygen therapy
- Maintaining strict infection control procedures
Clinical Requirements
- Experience in the following is essential:
- Epilepsy and seizure management
- Administration of emergency medication
- Post-traumatic amnesia support
- Supporting individuals with complex medical needs
- Recognising and responding to non-verbal cues
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in complex care
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to location)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, patient, and professional approach
- Ability to work effectively within a home environment and alongside family members
Please note: This role requires a female carer due to the client’s personal care needs.
