Female Complex Care Healthcare Assistant – South Ockendon

£15.00 – £16.60 per hour (includes holiday pay accrual)

Location: South Ockendon

Hours: Minimum 2 shifts per week

Shift Patterns: Days (8am–8pm) and/or Nights (8pm–8am)

We are currently looking for an experienced Female Complex Care Healthcare Assistant to support an adult male client living at home in South Ockendon. This is a rewarding long-term opportunity for a caring, confident and proactive individual who enjoys building meaningful relationships while delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Our client enjoys classic films, musical theatre, vintage cars, good food, and all things 80s and 90s pop culture. We are seeking someone with a positive personality who can provide both practical support and companionship, helping to promote wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

About the Role

Working as part of a dedicated care team, you will provide one-to-one support tailored to the client's individual needs. Clinical and care responsibilities include:

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Cough assist
  • Management of Autonomic Dysreflexia
  • Moving and handling
  • Personal care and grooming
  • Supporting activities of daily living
  • CPAP/BiPAP support
  • Light household duties
  • Meal preparation
  • Emotional wellbeing and social engagement

This role offers consistency and stability, allowing you to work closely with one client and become a valued part of their support network.

Training & Development

Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided, including:

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 12 months' complex homecare experience
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries
  • Experience providing tracheostomy care
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A professional, compassionate and reliable approach
  • Confidence using basic IT systems and care documentation
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding
  • The ability to recognise changes in physical and psychological wellbeing
  • A willingness to work collaboratively within a family-centred care environment
