About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious
Junior . NET Developer to join our growing Technology team.
As a Junior .
NET Developer, you will play an important role in designing, developing and supporting software solutions across the Premex Group.
Working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will contribute to the delivery of projects, enhancements and business-critical applications while developing your technical skills and experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their software development career who is eager to learn, gain exposure to modern development practices and work on impactful technology solutions.
What You\'ll Be Doing
You'll work closely with developers, analysts, testers and stakeholders to help deliver high-quality software solutions by:
- Contributing to software design reviews and gaining an understanding of technical design decisions.
- Developing and maintaining applications in line with agreed specifications and coding standards.
- Producing high-quality, maintainable and efficient code.
- Participating in code reviews as both a reviewer and recipient of feedback.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to understand business requirements and design effective solutions.
- Contributing to sprint and planning activities, including development estimates.
- Supporting the delivery of projects and enhancements within agreed timescales.
- Assisting with the investigation and resolution of production issues to minimise business disruption.
- Ensuring solutions align with security, quality and performance standards.
- Continuously developing your technical knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies and best practice.
- What We\'re Looking For
Essential
- Experience of application development within a small to medium-sized team environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft . NET technologies and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- A proactive, organised and professional approach to work.
Desirable
- Degree (2:1 or above) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience developing user-friendly interfaces.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Awareness of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
