We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Electrician to deliver high-quality electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works across domestic and occupied properties. You will work across Planned Works, Void Properties, and Responsive Maintenance contracts, ensuring compliance, safety, and excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations in domestic and commercial settings
- Work on void properties and planned programmes (rewires, consumer units, smoke alarms, fans, showers, remedials)
- Diagnose faults and deliver safe, first-time fixes where possible
- Complete EICRs and inspection & testing duties to BS7671 standards
- Ensure compliance with current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
- Carry out safe isolation and follow all Health & Safety procedures
- Maintain accurate digital records via PDA/mobile systems
- Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and colleagues
- Carry out risk assessments on all sites before work begins
- Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota
About You
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent (City & Guilds)
- 18th Edition (BS7671) qualified
- 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing qualification
- Experience in domestic maintenance, social housing, or MOD environments
- Strong fault-finding and installation skills
- Competent in EICRs and remedial works
- Knowledge of safe isolation procedures
- Confident using PDA/job management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligible for SC clearance and BPSS checks
