Example Recruitment are looking to recruit domestic gas engineers to work on a permanent basis in the TN postcode area. You will be working for a well established heating company working within the local authority sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer care while carrying out gas servicing, maintenance, and statutory safety inspections in line with current legislation and manufacturer guidance.
- Complete minor repair work identified during servicing or safety inspections where appropriate.
- Ensure work areas are properly prepared and protected before commencing any task.
- Produce and issue all required gas safety documentation, reporting any additional repairs or remedial work that may be necessary.
- Install replacement boilers and carry out appliance or component upgrades as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment, ensuring each property is left in good condition upon completion of work.
Requirements
- Current Gas Safe registration with at least two years of practical industry experience.
- Relevant domestic gas qualifications, such as CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, WAT1, CPA1, MET1, or equivalent City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 certifications in Gas Engineering.
- Valid full UK driving licence.
- Proven ability to work in a customer-facing role with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of current gas safety regulations, inspection procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Competent in selecting and using the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) for the task being undertaken.
- Willingness to work flexibly, including participation in out-of-hours or emergency call-out services when required.
