About the Role
We are currently recruiting for three experienced RAC Engineers to join a growing engineering team supporting key education and commercial contracts across London and Reading. You will be responsible for the planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and compliance are maintained at all times. The role will primarily cover Reading-based college contracts, with occasional travel across the Home Counties to provide holiday and sickness cover where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial RAC systems
- Reactive fault finding, diagnosis, and repair work
- Installation, servicing, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Brazing and pipework repairs as required
- Ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations and safety standards
- Completing job reports and updates via provided tablet/IT systems
- Representing the company professionally on client sites
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 3 preferred)
- Trade qualification in Installation, Service & Repair
- F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential)
- Proven experience in commercial RAC systems
- Strong fault-finding and repair skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- PASMA certification
- IPAF certification
- Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience preferred
