Example Recruitment Group is recruiting for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy maintenance team delivering high-quality repairs to social housing properties across Thamesmead and the surrounding areas.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) + Performance Bonus
The Role
- Working across approximately 8,000 residential properties, you'll carry out responsive repairs and maintenance, ensuring homes remain safe, functional and well maintained.
Responsibilities
- Carry out domestic plumbing repairs and installations.
- Diagnose and repair leaks and water systems.
- Repair immersion heaters and sanitary ware.
- Complete bathroom and kitchen installations.
- Carry out wall and floor tiling.
- Complete 1st and 2nd fix carpentry.
- Undertake patch plastering and making good.
- Carry out painting and decorating.
- Record work accurately using a mobile device.
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Work closely with supervisors and planners.
- Complete risk assessments and follow health & safety procedures.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota.
- Support apprentices where required.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing (or equivalent).
- Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems Certificate.
- Multi-trade experience.
- Ability to isolate and test electrical components.
- Social housing maintenance experience desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own professional tool kit.
