This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional with experience in the Fire & Security industry to join a business that is continuing to expand its national presence.

You'll play a key role in developing new business opportunities while managing relationships with existing customers across the UK.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while supporting key national accounts where required.

Working closely with the wider commercial team, you'll develop long-term client relationships, generate new opportunities and promote a comprehensive range of Fire & Security solutions.

Although the role is primarily Midlands-based, there will be national travel to support major customer accounts when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity and networking.
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify customer requirements and provide tailored Fire & Security solutions.
  • Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to contract award.
  • Attend client meetings, site visits and industry events.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
  • Support national key accounts where required.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting updates.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Business Development or Sales role within the Fire & Security industry.
  • Good technical understanding of Fire & Security systems.
  • Proven track record of winning new business and developing customer relationships.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own diary.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ideally based within 20 miles of Leicester, Nottingham or Derby.

Package & Benefits

  • Basic salary of circa £38,000.
  • Uncapped commission structure.
