Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established national heating contractor operating within the private sector.

We are looking for experienced self-employed Gas Service & Repair Engineers to join an established contract covering the Norbury area.

This is a long-term opportunity offering a consistent workload, weekly payments and the flexibility to choose your working pattern.

  • The Contract
  • Locations: Norbury
  • Work: Annual Gas Safety Checks, Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSRs) and central heating repairs
  • Workload: 6–8 pre-booked appointments per day
  • Availability: Minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with up to 5 days available
  • Additional earning opportunities: Optional evening call-outs and weekend work at enhanced rates
  • Contract length: Ongoing with no fixed end date
  • Payment: Weekly, one week in arrears
  • Rates
  • Annual Gas Safety Check: £30.75 per appliance
  • Completed Repair: £61.50 per property (all parts and van stock supplied)
  • Repair completed during Annual Service: £46.13 plus the Annual Service Visit rate

Requirements

To be considered, you'll need

  • A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as a domestic heating engineer
  • Current ACS qualifications including CKR1 and HTR1
  • Current Gas Safe Registration
  • A calibrated flue gas analyser
  • A suitable panel van (plain or sign-written)
  • £2 million Public Liability Insurance
  • No unspent criminal convictions
