Due to continued growth and major framework wins, we are looking to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their expanding commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of high-profile projects across the North and Midlands, supporting major water utilities. The role offers a flexible hybrid working model, with a mix of home working, client office visits, and site attendance as required.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the commercial delivery of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with senior stakeholders, clients, and contractors, you will be involved in all aspects of quantity surveying, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and commercially successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing projects through the full lifecycle
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships
- Managing projects under NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract
- Undertaking estimating and cost planning activities
- Providing procurement support and advice
- Preparing and reviewing tender documentation
- Managing contract administration and cost control processes
- Producing accurate cost reports and forecasts
- Supporting final account negotiations and agreements
- Attending client meetings and carrying out site visits
- Leading or contributing to multiple projects simultaneously
Skills & Experience
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
- Proven post-contract experience within a Quantity Surveying role
- Excellent organisational and project cost management skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience within the water or wider utilities sector
- Working towards or keen to pursue MRICS or MCICES
- Pre-contract and contract documentation experience
