We are working on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-run compliance business operating across the UK, who are looking to appoint an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor as part of their continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants more than just a site-based role. The position offers a supportive working environment and a clear pathway into a Senior Risk Assessor or supervisory role for the right individual.
The role will primarily involve carrying out Legionella risk assessments across a range of commercial properties nationwide. Regular travel is required, with occasional overnight stays depending on location and workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Legionella risk assessments on water systems in line with ACoP L8 and HSG274 Parts 2 & 3
- Produce clear, accurate, and professional reports with practical recommendations
- Advise clients on corrective actions and ongoing Legionella risk management
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets current legislation and industry standards
- Liaise directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver a high standard of service
- Support the ongoing development of internal safety procedures and best practice
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Legionella risk assessment or a closely related role
- Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274 Part 2, and relevant water hygiene legislation
- High attention to detail with the ability to work autonomously and within a small team
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients
- Full UK driving licence essential due to nationwide travel
Desirable Experience
- Recognised Legionella risk assessor qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Experience working to HTM 04-01 standards
- Ability to lead assessments independently or support/mentor junior assessors
