Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Painter & Decorator to join a well-established national maintenance and refurbishment contractor. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality painting and decorating services across a range of sites in the Wyton area. You will be responsible for ensuring all works are completed to a professional standard, including preparation, application, and finishing of surfaces in both internal and external environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces to a high standard prior to decoration
- Carry out painting and decorating works on internal and external surfaces
- Perform surface preparation including sanding, filling, and priming
- Apply a range of paints, coatings, stains, and varnishes
- (Desirable) Hang wallpaper and other wallcoverings
- Work across multiple projects to meet deadlines and programme requirements
- Monitor stock levels of materials and request replenishments when required
- Ensure all works are delivered within agreed budgets
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping on site
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Painter & Decorator role
- Strong knowledge of decorating techniques, materials, and finishes
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A customer-focused approach, particularly in occupied environments
