Position: Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer
Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well‑established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the HP postcode area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
- Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
- Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience with gas qualifications
- Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault‑finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
- In‑date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
- Full UK driving licence
- No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)
Salary & Benefits
- 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates
- Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
- Salary: £38,000 rising to £40,000 per year after probation
- Out‑of‑hours call‑out rota (1 week in 4)
- OTE £50,000+ per annum
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension scheme
