Position: Qualified Domestic Gas Engineer

Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the Aylesbury & Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Housing Association contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
  • Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
  • Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years\’ experience with gas qualifications
  • Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
  • In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
  • Full UK driving licence
  • No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)

Salary & Benefits:

  • 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Additional overtime and weekend work available at enhanced rates
  • Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
  • Salary: £38,000 rising to £40,000 per year after probation
  • Out-of-hours call-out rota (1 week in 4) paid £600 per week during winter (October to March) and £400 per week in summer (April to September) guaranteeing an additional £7,000 per year on top of salary
  • OTE £45,000+ per annum
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
