Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well‑established national heating contractor operating within the local authority sector. They have a vacancy for a qualified domestic heating engineer to cover the Peterborough area carrying out servicing, fault finding, and repairs within domestic social housing properties on a local Housing Association contract.

Role

  • Landlord Gas Safety Checks (CP12s)
  • Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems.
  • Providing high levels of customer care when dealing with tenants and clients.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety requirements and legislation are followed including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records.

Requirements

  • 2 years\’ experience as a qualified gas/heating engineer.
  • Experience in servicing boilers, and gas appliances as well as strong fault-finding/diagnostic and repair skills.
  • ACS qualifications incl. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 & HTR1.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • No unspent criminal convictions (DBS Check to be carried out on offer of employment).

Package

  • 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime paid at hourly rate.
  • Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided.
  • Salary: £41,000 – £48,000 per annum (DOE).
  • Out of Hours call out on rota basis. Paid either on price per job or hourly decided by engineer.
  • Monthly bonus.
  • OTE £50,000+ per annum.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holiday (holiday entitlement increases with service).
