Salary: Up to Β£45,000 basic + overtime, call-out payments and company benefits (OTE circa Β£49,000)
Example Recruitment Group is delighted to be working in partnership with one of our long-standing clients to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join their growing team covering London and the South.

The Role
As a Fire Alarm Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on a wide range of fire detection and alarm systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with current British Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems across a varied customer portfolio.
- Attend reactive breakdowns, diagnose faults efficiently and complete repairs or make-safe actions.
- Produce accurate engineer reports and job documentation on the day, including test results, findings, actions taken and recommendations for further works.
- Work in accordance with British Standards, site-specific RAMS and company procedures.
- Maintain van stock, tools and test equipment to ensure right-first-time completion.
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining faults, completed work and recommended next steps.
- Participate in the on-call rota when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience servicing and fault-finding on a variety of fire alarm systems.
- Experience working with leading fire alarm panels such as GENT, Notifier, Advanced or similar manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of compliance, testing procedures and accurate documentation.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Package & Benefits
- Basic salary up to Β£45,000 (depending on experience).
- Overtime and call-out payments with OTE circa Β£49,000.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x, 2x on Sundays, plus additional call-out payments.
