A well-established building services and maintenance contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas / Mechanical Engineer to support a growing portfolio of commercial and public sector contracts across East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer seeking long-term stability, strong overtime potential, and varied work across high-profile commercial sites.

The Role

  • Commercial gas PPM maintenance
  • Reactive breakdowns and repairs
  • Mechanical maintenance and pipe fitting works
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Call outs and emergency response
  • Quoted remedial works
  • Minor installation works
  • Occasional commissioning support

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications
  • Mechanical / Pipe Fitting experience
  • Strong commercial maintenance background
  • Good fault-finding skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • PASMA / IPAF beneficial but not essential

Package

  • £22.00 – £25.00 per hour
  • Company van and fuel card
  • Gas analyser provided
  • Standard hand tools supplied
  • Paid travel time (30 mins deducted each way)
  • 20 days holiday
  • Company pension
  • Death in service benefit
  • Plenty of overtime available
  • Overtime paid at enhanced rates
  • Call out rota 1 week in 6
  • Standby payments plus additional call out payments

Hours

  • 8am - 5pm
  • Regular overtime available between 17:00 – 08:00
