Example Recruitment Group is delighted to be working on behalf of an established and growing Water Hygiene and Water Treatment specialist that is looking to recruit experienced Water Hygiene Engineers as part of its continued expansion. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with existing industry experience who wants to join a business that genuinely invests in its people, offers plenty of overtime and provides long-term career development.
The Role
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering a range of water hygiene and compliance services across client sites, including:
- Monthly hot and cold-water temperature monitoring
- Showerhead and spray insert cleaning and disinfection
- Domestic water sampling
- Closed system testing and sampling
- Cold Water Storage Tank (CWST) inspections, cleaning and disinfection
- Carrying out surveys of water systems and supplies in accordance with ACOP L8
- Accurately completing site documentation and compliance reports
- Identifying potential issues and remedial requirements
- Liaising professionally with clients while on site
What We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who already have experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer, Water Hygiene Technician or Water Treatment Engineer. You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within the Water Hygiene / Legionella compliance industry
- Good working knowledge of domestic hot and cold-water systems
- Understanding of ACOP L8 and current water hygiene regulations
- Experience with temperature monitoring, sampling and water hygiene PPMs
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload
- Basic computer/tablet skills for completing reports electronically
- Flexibility to travel to different client sites
- A full UK Driving Licence
Experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments would be advantageous but isn't essential.
