This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that genuinely prioritises technical quality, professionalism, and long-term client relationships. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-standard, fully compliant reporting and continue to see steady growth across the region.
The Role
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering compliant risk assessments across a variety of commercial and industrial environments in accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 (Parts 1–3). The position offers a high level of autonomy, allowing you to manage your own diary across the Bristol area while working closely with an established and experienced Water Hygiene team.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Conducting detailed Legionella risk assessments across a wide range of system types
- Identifying potential risks
- Providing clear, practical control recommendations that clients can implement confidently
- Carrying out temperature profiling, flow testing, asset surveys, and schematic reviews
- Producing comprehensive, audit-ready reports with supporting photographic evidence
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients by clearly explaining findings, compliance requirements, and recommended remedial actions
- Managing your workload effectively and delivering reports within agreed timeframes
What My Client Is Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments within commercial or industrial settings. A strong working knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274 (Parts 1–3) is essential, along with proven experience producing detailed, compliant reports suitable for audit purposes. You should be comfortable working independently, managing a regional workload, and representing the business professionally on client sites. A recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent, is required, along with a full UK driving licence.
What’s On Offer
In return, my client offers strong job security within a growing and stable organisation that values technical expertise. The package includes annual leave increasing up to 25 days with long service, paid overtime opportunities, a fully equipped company vehicle, and a company mobile phone. Additional benefits include health plan support and access to an Employee Assistance Programme. Most importantly, the business offers supportive management and genuine career progression opportunities for those looking to develop long term.
If you’re an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor seeking stability, professional standards, and a company where your technical ability is truly recognised and valued, I’d welcome a confidential conversation.
