We’re supporting a large UK client with the delivery and ongoing improvement of a core Salesforce platform and are looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join an established delivery team. This is a hands‑on development role within a structured Agile environment. You’ll be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining Salesforce functionality that is already in active use, working closely with technical and non‑technical stakeholders to deliver practical, reliable solutions. This role suits a contractor who is comfortable taking ownership of delivery, contributing to technical decisions, and supporting less experienced developers through day‑to‑day collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and standard configuration
- Translate business requirements into clear, maintainable technical solutions
- Contribute actively to Agile delivery ceremonies (planning, stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives)
- Participate in code reviews and uphold development standards and best practice
- Work closely with consultants, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs
- Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to junior developers
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years’ commercial experience as a Salesforce Developer
- Strong hands‑on experience with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and the Salesforce data model
- Experience delivering Salesforce solutions in Agile environments (Jira or similar)
- Comfortable working in a client‑facing, delivery‑led setting
- Clear communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving
Security & eligibility requirements
- This role requires SC clearance
- Candidates must be UK citizens and meet standard SC eligibility criteria
- Candidates who are SC‑eligible (but not yet cleared) will be considered
Location & working pattern
- UK‑based role
- Occasional on‑site presence in Belfast (more frequent initially, then very limited)
- No travel expenses are payable
Who this role is (and isn’t) for
- This role is suited to senior Salesforce contractors who enjoy hands‑on delivery, ownership of outcomes, and working closely with stakeholders.
- It is not a Salesforce administrator or support role, and it is not suitable for candidates seeking fully remote work with zero site presence or those without UK citizenship.
