My client is looking to recruit an experienced Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics Developer to join an expanding Finance team based in Sheffield. Taking responsibility for the development and maintenance of IBM Cognos TM1/PA solutions, acting as Subject Matter Expert in this field of expertise. The successful candidate will use current industry and specialist knowledge to turn company strategy into tactical plans, undertaking continual service improvement.
Within this role, the Cognos TM1 Planning Analytics Developer will:
- Deliver and maintain IBM Cognos TM1/PA solutions.
- Support the provision of accurate and timely management information.
- Administer user permissions and system security settings.
- Work in partnership with cross functional teams and 3rd party suppliers on issue resolution, product enhancements and best practice.
- Act as an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team to identify requirements and recommend solutions which support changes to the firm's Budgeting and Forecasting processes, and Management Reporting.
- Responsibility for integration of TM1 /PA with SAP and other information sources for the provision of Management information.
Skills, experience and characteristics Technically, the IBM Cognos TM1/PA Developer should possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial processes.
