We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a wider business transformation programme and lead the delivery of several key technology and systems implementation projects.
The initial focus will be the implementation of a new HR Information System (HRIS), alongside responsibility for other technology-enabled change projects across the organisation.
The Role You will take ownership of projects from planning through to implementation and BAU handover, acting as the key link between internal business teams, IT stakeholders and external technology suppliers.
This is a hands‑on delivery role requiring strong project governance, vendor management and stakeholder engagement, including regular communication with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of business systems and Saa S implementation projects.
- Take ownership of the HRIS implementation programme.
- Manage multiple workstreams across a wider transformation portfolio.
- Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reports and Statements of Work.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, resources and dependencies.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and third-party suppliers.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and delivery blockers.
- Provide clear project updates to senior stakeholders and governance groups.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timescales, budgets and quality expectations.
- Manage successful transition of new systems and processes into BAU.
- Support improvements to project delivery processes and governance.
Experience Required
- Strong experience delivering IT and business systems implementation projects.
- Experience implementing Saa S platforms such as HRIS, HR, Finance, CRM, ERP or Case Management systems.
- Previous experience managing vendor-led or third-party system implementations.
- Strong project planning, governance, risk and dependency management experience.
- Comfortable managing both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
- Experience managing suppliers, Statements of Work and commercial relationships.
- Confident using Microsoft Project, Planner, Jira and Microsoft Office.
- Previous business analysis experience, including requirements gathering or process mapping, would be beneficial.
Qualifications
- PRINCE2 certified or equivalent project/programme management qualification such as PRINCE2 Agile, MSP or DSDM.
This role would suit an experienced, hands‑on IT Project Manager who has successfully delivered third‑party technology implementations and is comfortable operating across both detailed project delivery and senior stakeholder engagement.
