Location: Aberdeen / Remote (Hybrid)
Day Rate: Up to £700 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 12 Months

Working Arrangement: Remote working considered, with occasional travel to Aberdeen
About
We are currently recruiting for an experienced OT Security Engineer to join a major cybersecurity improvement programme within the energy and critical infrastructure sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for an OT cybersecurity specialist to play a key role in strengthening the security of industrial control systems and operational technology environments.
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate OT cybersecurity risk remediation activities, working closely with engineering, operations, IT and cybersecurity teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security improvements and strengthen overall cyber resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate OT cybersecurity assessments, remediation activities and security improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain cybersecurity remediation plans, risk registers and progress tracking.
Review and improve OT network security, segmentation and industrial control system architecture.
Support OT asset management, vulnerability management, patching and system hardening.
Strengthen identity and privileged access management across industrial environments.
Improve security monitoring, incident response, backup and disaster recovery capabilities.
Coordinate remediation activities with engineering teams, operational stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
Ensure security improvements are appropriately documented, tested and supported by assurance evidence.
Produce security risk reports, remediation updates and management dashboards.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong experience in OT / ICS / Industrial Cybersecurity .
Proven experience with OT cybersecurity assessments, risk remediation and security control improvements .
Good understanding of industrial control systems, including SCADA, PLCs and DCS.
