We are looking for a Software Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing E-commerce solutions. This role is pivotal in defining technical architectures, selecting technologies, and ensuring seamless integration with third-party cloud-based services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, document, and implement technical architectures for new E-commerce applications/features.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance across the E-commerce ecosystem, including APIs and databases.
  • Lead technology selection for new applications and features.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers.
  • Oversee the integration of third-party services (payment gateways, ERP/CRM, analytics, digital marketing platforms).
  • Work closely with digital experience owners, UX designers, and business teams to align technology with business objectives.
What We're Looking For:
  • Extensive experience in software development, including strong experience in an architect or technical lead role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing high-performance, scalable E-commerce platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in C#, Java, .NET, and JavaScript (AngularJS, jQuery).
  • Experience with API development (SOAP, RESTful, LDAP) and data exchange using XML/JSON.
  • Knowledge of relational (MS SQL Server) and document-oriented (Oracle Endeca) databases.
  • Expertise in secure web and API development (OWASP best practices, encryption, authentication protocols).
  • Experience with caching mechanisms, performance optimisation, and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium).
