Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a contract Data scientist/ bioinformation to work remotely for my client, with a daily rate of £560 a day outside IR35 initially for 6 months.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, or a related field with a strong academic record.
Technical Expertise
- Strong problem-solving skills in bioinformatics and data science.
- Extensive experience in biomarker development and clinical trial data analysis.
- Proficiency in statistical methods (e.g., survival analysis) and machine learning techniques (e.g., Random Forest, Gradient Boosting).
- Expertise in Python and SQL (required), familiarity with Nextflow for scalable pipeline development.
- Experience in developing workflows for automated data analysis.
- Strong data wrangling and integration skills.
This is a great project working on a platform that integrates data, develops advanced analytics, stores biomedical knowledge, and delivers insights through AI-driven tools and intuitive visualizations. Its vision is to empower an “augmented scientist” — enabling researchers to use AI systems for data-driven decision-making and biomedical knowledge generation.
