An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically hands on Second Line Team Leader to take ownership of a large scale Intune estate supporting over 12,000 devices. This role would suit a highly skilled second line engineer ready to take the next step into leadership, or someone with prior experience leading a small team in a fast paced environment.
About the Role
You will lead and coordinate a second line support team of 7 to 9 engineers, providing expert guidance across endpoint management, hardware support and end user software troubleshooting. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring effective delivery of second line processes and maintaining high standards of service across a complex and growing estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead all second line support processes across a 12,000 device environment
- Act as the technical lead on endpoint management, device compliance and Intune configuration
- Oversee and support hardware provisioning, troubleshooting and life cycle activity
- Resolve escalated incidents and drive resolution of complex software issues
- Manage team workload, performance and development, ensuring consistent high quality service
- Coordinate with third party suppliers and internal teams to maintain service levels
- Ensure all procedures, knowledge articles and asset records are accurate and up to date
- Deliver regular updates to stakeholders and identify service improvement opportunities
You will have:
- Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Intune, end user device management and troubleshooting
- Solid knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware support within enterprise environments
- Proven background in second line support with exposure to large or complex estates
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
- Previous leadership experience or evidence of mentoring and coordinating small teams
- A clear understanding of service management principles and IT support best practice
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally when required
