Fixed Term Contract – up to 12 months
Location: Bradford City Centre (Hybrid – 2 days per week in the office).
Exalto Consulting is working with a large, customer‑focused organisation operating at scale across retail and consumer services. They are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to join them on a fixed‑term basis and provide strong commercial leadership during a critical period of delivery and change.
This role sits within the wider Finance Directorate and plays a central part in supporting a functional leadership team to make informed, commercially sound decisions. It blends strategic business partnering with hands‑on financial leadership, balancing insight, challenge and delivery in a fast‑moving environment.
About the roleAs a trusted finance partner to a senior functional directorate, you will take ownership of all financial matters for that area. Your focus will be on commercial decision support while also ensuring robust delivery of core finance processes, including month‑end, forecasting, planning, reporting and project accounting.
You will act as a proactive advisor and sounding board to senior leaders, bringing clarity to complex decisions and highlighting both opportunities and risks. Through strong relationships and visible financial leadership, you will become an embedded member of the leadership team, contributing to key forums and shaping outcomes that improve performance.
This is a role for someone comfortable operating at pace, able to switch between strategic thinking and detailed delivery, and confident leading both people and process.
About youYou will be a professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with at least two years' post‑qualification experience and a strong background in commercial finance within a retail or consumer‑focused environment.
- Proven experience in finance business partnering and supporting senior stakeholders
- A strong understanding of business drivers, profitability and decision‑support modelling
- Hands‑on experience delivering month‑end, budgeting and forecasting processes end to end
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling capability, with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and build credibility quickly
- Experience leading or managing others and contributing to cross‑functional projects
- The ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and maintain high levels of accuracy
You will also be comfortable commuting to Bradford city centre and flexible when additional time is required to deliver key outputs.
