Bid Writer/ Proposal Lead - London 2/3 days a week - up to £80K Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a permanent Senior Bid Writer / Proposal Lead this is to work for a fantastic client, hybrid working on site in London 2/3 days a week.

This is paying £65,000-£80,000 basic salary.

The opportunity We're looking for an experienced bid writer to take the pen on these responses, working alongside the practice leads and engagement directors who own the win strategy.

Experience required for the role: Proven experience holding the pen on complex bids or tenders, ideally in public sector or heavily regulated markets (financial services, defence or similar).

A confident, curious approach to drawing insight out of busy experts and turning it into a compelling narrative.

Comfortable shaping a response structure independently, with minimal hand-holding.

Able to juggle more than one deadline-driven bid at a time without dropping quality.

Excellent written English and a sharp eye for detail: compliance, consistency, formatting.

Strong instincts for people and relationships, equally credible with senior leaders, busy specialists and partner organisations.

A commercial mindset: real interest in the deal behind the document, not just the document itself.

A genuine drive to make our AI tooling better, not just use it: comfortable pushing prompts, workflows and knowledge assets forward so the tools take on more of the heavy lifting over time.

Nice to have Background in consulting or professional services.

Exposure to framework or portal-based procurement (for example G-Cloud, Crown Commercial Service, Bravo, Delta).

APMP or an equivalent bid-management qualification.
