Their teams work on large-scale digital products and services that improve experiences for customers, colleagues, and communities. Rather than simply building software, they help organisations deliver meaningful outcomes through collaboration, technical excellence, and pragmatic problem-solving.
As part of continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Principal Full Stack Engineer to provide technical leadership across a range of high-profile programmes.
This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys remaining hands-on while also mentoring others, influencing technical strategy, and helping teams deliver their best work.
Skills & Experience
We are interested in individuals who combine strong technical capability with excellent communication and leadership skills.
You should have experience in:
- At least two of the following technologies: Python, JavaScript, Node.js, C# or Java
- Building and supporting applications within AWS and/or Azure
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar technologies
- CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Modern source control practices using Git
- Working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Agile delivery environments
- Supporting live products and production services
- Leading technical teams and mentoring engineers
- Influencing architectural decisions and engineering direction
- Engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Using AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and productivity
The following would be beneficial but are not essential:
- MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies
- Consultancy or client-facing project experience
- Public sector or healthcare projects
- Community involvement through mentoring, blogging, speaking, or technical events
- Experience working across a variety of technology stacks
