Jira Administrator – Contract
Location: Wiltshire (On-site)
Rate: Up to £570 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 6 Months
Clearance: Active SC required; must be sole British national and eligible for DV
A secure government programme requires a Jira Administrator with strong Atlassian administration skills to support IT Service Management and Agile delivery.
You\’ll configure, optimise, and maintain Jira Service Management, Jira Software, and Confluence to ensure efficient service delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage Jira Service Management workflows, automations, and assets (Insight).
- Create and support Jira Software projects, boards, and reports for Agile teams.
- Maintain a Confluence Knowledge Base for documentation and self-service.
- Develop dashboards and reports using JQL for SLAs and performance metrics.
- Manage user roles and permissions via Crowd / Atlassian Access.
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience administering JSM, JSW, and Confluence.
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request).
- Knowledge of automation, integrations, and REST APIs.
- Experience building dashboards and using JQL.
- Desirable: Atlassian certification, ITIL 4, or scripting skills (PowerShell/Python).
Security & Eligibility
- Active SC clearance (transferable).
- Sole British nationals only – no dual nationality.
- Recent experience supporting UK Government or Police contracts.
- Must not have lived abroad for more than six months in the past five years.
Additional Information
- BPSS checks required prior to start.
- Candidates must return documentation within 48 hours of offer.
- Fully on-site in Wiltshire – no remote option.
