Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a contract data engineer, this is inside IR35, paying £460 per day inside IR35, initially until the end of the year.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ingest data from legacy systems and operational platforms into the Azure Lakehouse environment.
  • Designing and implementing data transformation processes using Databricks, supporting Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers in line with Medallion Architecture best practices.
  • Building scalable ETL/ELT solutions to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Creating and optimising data models and datasets for consumption by Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity through automated validation, monitoring, and testing processes.
  • Supporting data migration activities from legacy platforms to cloud native Azure services.
  • Contributing to the adoption of engineering best practices, including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and version control.
