Chemical Regulatory Affairs Expert 100% Remote Contract | UK | Europe | 6–12 Month Contract Exalto Consulting is recruiting a Chemical Regulatory Affairs Expert to support a leading organisation developing and commercialising advanced polymer materials used across consumer and industrial applications, including food-contact products.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced regulatory professional to provide strategic guidance on compliance, product stewardship, and market access within a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead regulatory assessments for polymers and chemical substances.

Ensure compliance with REACH, CLP, food-contact legislation, and other applicable regulations.

Prepare and review regulatory dossiers, declarations of compliance, and technical documentation.

Support GMP compliance and regulated manufacturing activities.

Advise cross-functional teams on regulatory requirements throughout product development and commercialisation.

Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact.

Support customer enquiries, audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.

Requirements Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Materials Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related discipline. 7–10+ years' experience in chemical regulatory affairs.

Strong expertise in European REACH, CLP, and food-contact regulations.

Experience with polymers, additives, and chemical product stewardship.

Knowledge of GMP-regulated environments.

Proven experience preparing regulatory submissions and compliance documentation.

Excellent English communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a fully remote role.

Desirable Experience with packaging, consumer goods, medical, or industrial polymers.

Knowledge of UK REACH, FDA, TSCA, China REACH, or other global regulations.

Chemical risk assessment and exposure evaluation experience.

Familiarity with ISO quality systems and regulatory audits.
