An experienced SQL Developer is required to support and enhance a business-critical data and backend estate supporting order, stock and operational reporting. This contract is delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on SQL Server development, performance, and data reliability.

Contract details:

  • £600 per day (Inside IR35)
  • 3 days per week onsite
  • Contract assignment (start ASAP subject to onboarding)

What you'll be doing:

  • Developing and optimising SQL Server solutions (T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, indexing, performance tuning)
  • Building and maintaining ETL / data synchronisation processes (SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory)
  • Supporting high-volume operational data flows and ensuring data accuracy across systems
  • Troubleshooting production issues, identifying root cause, and improving stability and data quality
  • Working closely with technical and operational stakeholders to deliver reliable data and reporting outputs

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Strong commercial SQL Server and T-SQL development
  • Proven performance tuning and optimisation experience
  • Solid ETL/data integration experience (SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory)
  • Comfortable working in live operational environments (support, troubleshooting, delivery to deadlines)

Desirable:

  • C#/.NET experience (supporting tooling, automation, or backend services)
  • Integration experience (REST/SOAP APIs)
  • Warehousing / inventory / order management exposure
  • Ecommerce integration exposure
  • Azure DevOps / CI/CD experience
