Super fast track career role for qualified accountant, ideally Top 6 trained and either a current Senior Manager or Associate Director in practice or with PQE in a head office / large listed business finance function.
This role works with the FD and is seen as a staging post for an ambitious individual with first class technical and business partnering skills who wants to be a divisional FD in the future.
The business is a mid-sized listed group that is growing rapidly on a worldwide basis and operates in the technology sector.
Duties are typical for a Group Head office Role but include.
- Extensive stakeholder business partnering from a commercial perspective
- Preparation of the Group’s consolidated statutory accounts
- Consolidation of the Group management accounts for month end, budget and forecasts;
- Support the Board with preparation of the annual report
- Team management and development
- Involvement in the central business unit accounts including reviews
- Researching and implementing accounting standard changes and application of existing standards as and when they become relevant to the Group.
- Liaising with auditors and managing auditor queries
- Group consolidation systems optimisation.
- The candidate
- ACA or CIMA qualified with a strong academic background
- Worked in or with multinational companies or the Top 6
- Experience of working in or with a plc environment
- Knowledge of IFRS and an interest in researching and interpreting overseas GAAP if required as a result of acquisitions
