An opportunity to join a busy and dynamic finance team with both bookkeeping and administrative tasks, including invoicing, purchase ledger management, bank reconciliations, credit control and day to day finance support. The company, a growing SME who trade internationally are based in Andover.

As Accounts Assistant, your role will include the following:

  • Managing the purchase ledger, including invoices and reconciling statements
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including processing invoices, payments and receipts
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and VAT returns
  • Processing and reconciling employee expenses and company credit cards
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers to answer any accounts related queries
  • Involvement with credit control duties
  • Ensure compliance with financial procedures, company policies and relevant regulations
  • Providing administrative support to the finance team

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Experience within an accounts assistant or assistant accountant role
  • Proven experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel skills (intermediate level or above), and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills to build good working relationships
