Do you have experience of working in a busy kitchen? Do you love cooking and being involved in preparing fresh food for hungry people? If you are looking to work in a busy and lovely environment out in the countryside, then this opportunity could be right up your street!
This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the daily lives of students and staff by preparing nutritious and delicious meals from scratch.
This role involves home-cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring that every meal is a delightful experience. The position is hands-on and requires a passion for cooking on a large scale, making it perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic and busy kitchen environment.
Candidates should bring a proven track record of preparing meals from scratch. The ideal person is someone who really enjoys cooking and being part of a community.
Join this special organisation as their Cook and you will have the opportunity to interact with students and staff, contributing to a positive and nurturing environment.
What makes this role really unique is that this position gives you the chance to work term time so you will be working between 41-44 weeks per year (term time plus 7-10 weeks holiday cover).
As the Cook you will be:
- Preparing a range of dishes from fresh foods
- Serving across breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on a rota basis
- Assisting with functions
- Clearing away and keeping kitchen areas clean and tidy
- Assisting with ad hoc catering requirements
As the Cook you will have:
- Experience of working in a kitchen cooking fresh, nutritious meals
- A reliable and team-minded spirit
