Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and other fire & security systems in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide documentation for installations and modifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults on fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, access control, CCTV and other fire & security equipment.
  • Conduct system testing, routine checks, and prepare reports on the condition of the systems.
  • Ensure that all systems are compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs for system faults, breakdowns, and urgent repairs.
  • Ensure systems are restored to full working order.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire and security systems.
  • Familiarity with fire and security regulations and standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266).
  • Electrical or electronic engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
