We are seeking a driven Marketing Officer for our client who is a leading organization dedicated to advancing biodiversity conservation efforts through sustainable solutions, scientific research, and environmental advocacy. They are passionate about preserving the natural world and supporting initiatives that protect ecosystems, wildlife, and communities.
As the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the company’s communication strategies. You will be developing and delivering compelling content, managing public relations efforts, and promoting the company's biodiversity-focused mission. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about environmental conservation and eager to help communicate the importance of biodiversity to a wider audience. This role is hybrid working one week a month in the office in Cambridge.
As the Marketing Officer you will be:
- Developing and managing engaging content across a range of platforms, including website, social media, newsletters, blogs, and reports.
- Creating visually appealing and informative content that highlights biodiversity projects, research outcomes, and organizational achievements.
- Managing the company’s social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.
- Developing and executing digital marketing campaigns to increase awareness of the company’s initiatives and drive engagement with key stakeholders.
- Utilising analytics tools to track and report on digital performance and adjust strategies for optimal outcomes.
- Ensuring all marketing materials, campaigns, and communication strategies are aligned with the company’s brand and mission.
As the Marketing Officer you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations (preferably within the environmental, non-profit, or sustainability sector).
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, content creation, and digital marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with environmental issues and biodiversity conservation is highly preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- A creative mindset with the ability to bring innovative ideas to the marketing and communications strategies.
