Electrical Maintenance Technician

They are expanding the in-house Engineering team and looking for two experienced Electrical Maintenance Technicians to support operations across two anaerobic digestion (AD) facilities near Ely, Cambridgeshire. You\’ll work on a 4-on/4-off shift pattern in a dynamic, hands-on environment where no two days are the same.

Reporting to the Head of Electrical, you\’ll collaborate closely with the Mechanical Maintenance Team to deliver high-quality repair, maintenance, and installation work. This role offers real impact, variety, and the chance to work with cutting-edge green energy systems.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical repairs and preventative maintenance to high standards
• Performing breakdown diagnostics, fault finding, and installations
• Conducting electrical testing, inspections, and control panel modifications
• Supporting mechanical tasks where needed due to integrated technologies
• Logging work accurately using internal maintenance systems
• Ensuring all work complies with Health & Safety best practices

Qualifications

• Electrical breakdowns, maintenance & installation
• Fault finding and investigation
• Control panel modification
• 3-phase systems, safety circuits, motor testing
• Inverter drives, 4-20 mA signals

Desirable Skills

• PLC inputs/outputs, SCADA & network fault-finding
• Emergency lighting systems
• 11kv switching and diagnostics
• CCTV maintenance
• Mechanical systems: augers, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatics, valves
• Computer literacy
