Role Purpose
As the Head of IT Infrastructure, you will play a crucial role within the systems team and across the company, overseeing the evolution of EXA Infrastructure\βs IT strategy, implementation, and operations. This includes enhancing, optimizing, and upgrading the architecture and operations related to compute, storage, security, virtualization, cloud (IaaS), and End-User-Computing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in IT Infrastructure, including compute, storage, virtualization, cloud (hybrid), networking, and databases.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation efforts in these areas.
- Design solutions, integrations, and process improvements to enhance availability and resilience.
- Develop automation solutions to optimize processes and improve efficiency, including updating Standard Operating Procedures.
- Guide internal teams and vendors to adhere to best practices.
- Create and maintain processes and procedures for support and operations.
- Manage and configure virtualized infrastructure effectively.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure infrastructure availability and high customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the CISO on cybersecurity strategy and policy implementation.
- Work with application leads to support infrastructure needs.
Individual Profile
- Extensive experience in IT Infrastructure, including compute, storage, cybersecurity, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Proven track record as an Infrastructure specialist, preferably with telco experience.
- Strategic, architectural, operational, and hands-on skills.
- Hands-on experience with VMware, virtualization, and other platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking, Linux (RHEL, CentOS), Windows Server, and VMware.
- Ability to evaluate large-scale technologies, including messaging systems like Kafka.
- Experience with cybersecurity technologies such as IAM, PAM, EDR, NDR, and standards like ISO 27001 / NIST.
- Advanced scripting skills in Bash, Perl, Python.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet, Salt, Ansible.
- Experience with clustering and high-availability solutions.
- Familiarity with database administration (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
- Experience supporting business processes and deploying containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Oracle DB administration experience.
- Knowledge of hardware and storage from Dell/HP, and Active Directory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
