This is a key role in our pre-construction team and will suit someone with a strong understanding of BSRIA design stages, who has experience tendering both as a specialist subcontractor and as a Principal Contractor, with a working knowledge of CDM Regulations.

We are looking for an individual who is not only technically competent but also brings a genuine passion to succeed in a competitive market—someone who thrives on challenge, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow with a forward-thinking business operating at the forefront of the low-carbon and built environment sectors.

  • Estimating & Design Development
  • Prepare competitive tenders for electrical and M&E projects, both as a subcontractor and principal contractor.
  • Interpret client specifications and drawings to develop accurate, compliant pricing solutions.
  • Contribute to design development and technical proposals aligned with BSRIA design stages.
  • Liaise with in-house design teams to ensure coordinated and buildable solutions.
  • Deliver value engineering and commercial insights throughout the bid process.
  • Identify risks and constraints during tender stage and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Bid Management
  • Manage the end-to-end bid process from initial enquiry through to submission and post-tender negotiations.
  • Prepare clear, compelling technical and commercial submissions.
  • Coordinate supplier and subcontract pricing to support comprehensive tender returns.
  • Lead or support pre-qualification documents and framework submissions.
  • Attend client interviews and contribute to winning strategies.
  • Principal Contractor & CDM
  • Interpret and apply CDM Regulations 2015 within bid and pre-construction activities.
  • Demonstrate awareness of client and contractor duties under CDM, and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
  • Client & Commercial Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Attend site visits, surveys, and pre-tender meetings as required.
  • Provide structured handovers to delivery teams post-contract award.
  • Monitor bid outcomes and support continual improvement of estimating and bid processes.
  • Identify new opportunities and support wider business development efforts.

  • Understanding of healthcare, commercial and industrial projects.
  • Comfortable tendering as principal contractor or as part of an M&E team.
  • Commercially astute with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communicator with confidence in client-facing environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software.
  • Understanding of mechanical services and full M&E integration is beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence.
