Monday morning, the reset. What did you ship? What broke? What are you building this week? Everything you built last week is worthless. It keeps you honest. It keeps you fast. You are reading this from the most expensive version of the old map. San Francisco still runs on the belief that a company takes three hundred people and an office tower to start. It does not anymore - a company now costs twelve people and a toolchain. My name is Julien Uhlig. Thirty years building companies — New York, London, Tokyo, the Valley — and then it stopped mattering where I did it, so I run it from Canggu. Entrade and Zero‑X among them. Over $150M raised and deployed. The campus is 4,000 sqm, and I am on it every day. This is EX EPIC Academy.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • You will run the part of the group most companies outsource to a department: selection, onboarding, and the human side of a twelve-person cohort.
  • The application is the work - you will read repos and demos, not CVs.
  • You will own the cycle that finds the next cohort, coordinate visas and logistics with operations, and make sure no one falls through the cracks.
  • You will be the first person a future founder meets.
  • You will use AI tools daily - automated screening, personalised outreach, streamlined workflows.
  • The honest part: selection is a filter, and filters are ruthless. You will say no to strong people because the seat count is fixed. That is the point.

WHO THIS IS FOR

  • You hold a degree. Any field. It is proof you finished something hard, not proof you know anything current.
  • You have run something — an event, a team, a process — and can name what broke.
  • You read people's work before you read their words.
  • You keep a hundred applicants straight without losing one.
  • Six months, on‑site. Not remote, not hybrid, not a three-month stint.

WHERE YOU DO IT

I am onsite. So is the management team. Every day. No org chart between you and the founder. What Canggu buys is a room where the people who run the companies are physically present every day, and nothing else is competing for them. I do not lecture. One‑hour calls with an agenda, and I am at the desk next to yours. You watch a week from inside the room. You see what happens when something breaks. There is no curriculum for that.

WHAT WE COVER

  • Six months residential in Canggu.
  • Housing, workstation, office space, meeting rooms.
  • The full AI toolchain, tokens paid by the group.
  • C22B internship visa - we sponsor it and we pay for it.
  • Indonesian immigration law prohibits paying foreign interns, and we do not work around that.
  • Flights & food are yours. If that is a dealbreaker, better you know now.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER

You leave having completed a full hiring cycle for a global program, start to finish — with the receipts to prove it.

THE GROUP

You live with your cohort, work with them daily, and stay in the group after the six months end. It is our hiring pool, our co-founder market, and our investor network. The network is yours for life.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree, any field.
  • You can hold a calendar and a hundred applicants without losing one.
  • You can write a job description that repels the wrong people.
  • Six months, on‑site.
