My client, established for over 30 years, is seeking to recruit a number of Trainee Engineers to join their expanding team. Once trained, you can progress to more senior roles depending on your abilities and skills.

Roles include Technician, Repair Engineer, Service Engineer, and Installation Engineer. All roles require similar basic skills at the start, with potential movement into different specialisms within the sector.

At the basic level, you will need a decent standard of engineering; electrical experience would be ideal but is not essential. Those with electrical experience may progress faster within the company. After completing the initial 6 months of training and development, you will be specialised into one of the above roles.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong mechanical background; electrical experience is an advantage.
  • Capable of working towards set targets while maintaining high standards.
  • Understanding of current Health & Safety procedures and standards applicable to the role.
  • Can work unsupervised and provide documentation to the highest standard.
  • Self‐starter who displays initiative.
  • Team player with a flexible attitude and enthusiasm for work.

Training & Benefits

You will receive a comprehensive training and mentoring package. Within 6 months, you will be responsible for your own geographic location.

Benefits include: a starting salary £30 – 35k, annual performance bonus up to 10%, electric company car scheme with no personal tax implication, private medical healthcare, 25 days leave + Bank Holidays, and a pension scheme with a 4% company and 4% personal contribution. After completing training, salary will increase to £40k and opportunities to move into more senior roles will be available.
