Their tailored services are designed to meet the specific needs of clients across both commercial and government sectors. They are now seeking to recruit a Technical Security Installer on an initial 6 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT with a potential for a full time role, with an excellent benefits package which includes Overtime, Overseas Allowance, Travel Opportunities, Retail Discounts, Pension, Paid Holiday.

You will be responsible for installation and maintenance of technical systems at sites in the UK and overseas. Systems typically include intruder detection, video surveillance, access control etc. Previous experience installing these systems, at a commercial level, is essential. Knowledge and experience of underpinning technologies, such as containment, data infrastructure, cabling, data comms etc. is highly desirable. The role includes system design and best practice, ensuring installations meet company and industry standards (e.g. NPSA, NSI etc). Testing, commissioning and documentation, as well as Client or 3rd party handover, will form a critical part of the role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the Technical Security Manager to deliver tailored solutions to Clients, meeting their security and cost expectations
  • Keep skills, qualifications and cards/certificates up to date and relevant
  • Contribute to innovative solutions in response to Client challenges
  • Maintain a can do attitude, working with colleagues and subcontractors to achieve outcomes
  • Fault find to device level
  • Keep security and safety considerations in mind at all times, highlighting issues before, or while, they occur. This includes personnel, physical as well as technical security
  • Take a ‘whole life’ perspective, ensuring that products and systems are designed and installed to be supportable

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:

  • Previous experience as a commercial security system installer
  • Full UK driving license
  • Must hold a valid UK passport
  • Ability to pass security clearance checks due to the sensitive nature of their work, minimum SC, but having the ability to gain DV as well.
  • Must live within a commutable distance of our office just outside Peterborough
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home, including overseas assignments
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Valid ECS or CSCS card
  • Ability to work alone or as a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills

In return they are offering a salary of up to £45k, plus overseas allowances, retail discounts across various retailers, Pension scheme, 20 days + Bank Holidays, and a Mon – Fri working week with some potential overtime at weekends.
