Trainee Lift Engineers – starting £30k + Training + Benefits. My client, who has been established for over 30 years, is seeking to recruit an additional Trainee Engineer to join their expanding team, with opportunities to progress into more senior roles depending on abilities. There are various roles available, including Technician, Repair Engineer, Service Engineer, and Installation Engineer, all requiring similar basic skills. A decent standard of engineering is necessary, and electrical experience is ideal but not essential; those with electrical experience will progress faster within the company.
After completing the initial 6 months of training and development, you will specialise in one of the roles mentioned above.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- A strong mechanical background; electrical experience is an advantage.
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Able to work towards set targets while maintaining high standards.
- Understanding of current Health & Safety procedures and standards applicable to the job role.
- Ability to work unsupervised and provide documentation to the highest standard.
- A self-starter who displays good initiative.
- A good team player with a flexible attitude and enthusiasm for their work.
The company offers a full training and mentoring package, and within a short period (i.e., 6 months), you will be responsible for your own geographic location. They are seeking individuals who can be based anywhere within the Reading/Buckinghamshire region.
In return, they offer a good starting salary up to £30k + Training, with an annual performance bonus of up to 10%, an electric company car scheme (no personal tax implication), private medical healthcare, 25 days leave + Bank Holidays, and a company pension scheme with a 4% company and 4% personal contribution. Once you have completed your training to a satisfactory level, your basic salary can increase to £40k, and with overtime and other bonuses, you can earn in excess of £50k per year.
